Local WWII veteran remembers his service to our country

Born in Monticello, Wis. in 1925, Fred Wiedmer was born into a farming family in Turtle Valley just north of Delavan, one of eight children.

Now, 91 years old, Fred sat down to remember his time in the United States Army during one of the most controversial, and damaging wars this country has ever seen, and how he played a part in the history that is World War II.  Pick up this week’s printed edition for full story…
