On Wednesday of last week, Brodhead High School conducted a simulation that is garnering much attention. During morning announcements, students and teachers announced that several students had died as a result of motor vehicle crashes.

The announcements began with two students asking for a moment of silence to recognize and remember several students who had recently passed away in car accidents. Those two students then agreed to “skip school” and went off screen. Two teachers filled in to finish the announcements, and at their conclusion, said that the two boys who’d skipped school, along with two others, were “T-boned as they ditched school by a drunk driver.”
