BRODHEAD – Under gray skies, approximately 150 youngsters and adults gathered at Brodhead’s retaining pond on Saturday, June 13 to try their luck at catching fish.

During the course of the event hosted by the Brodhead Optimist Club, over 200 fish of all sizes were caught and released. The largest fish in length, a bullhead measuring 8 ¾” was caught by Liam Watts. Bryson Powell caught the smallest fish, a bluegill measuring just 2.”

Prizes were awarded each hour for the largest and smallest fish caught during that time period.
