Village President, Connie Tracy called the meeting to order on Tuesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. Board Trustees present were: Ron Torkilson, Sonja Capes, Art Bushue, Jeanette Troha, and Administrator/Police Chief Dave Hooker. Dina Knibbs and Dennis Nielson were absent.
Village Engineer Tim Kienbaum, Treasurer Clerk Pam Franseen, Library Director Mary Bieber, Library Board President Janet Haag, DPW Director Roger Johnson, and Finance Advisor Jon Cameron of Ehlers were present.
President Tracy acknowledged a thank you from the State for recount efforts during the November 2016 election. She announced village agenda and board packets are available on Thursdays prior to monthly meetings usually scheduled on the third Tuesday of the month. They should be picked to be reviewed over the weekend prior to meetings. Tracy noted the restrooms at Herb Reffue Park — have been demolished as planned.
Bieber deferred Library Foundation report to Mary Ann Inman. The fundraising event was very successful, well at-tended, sponsors generously donated $1,600, artists fees brought in $1,200, and a few artists that sold art donated the sales. Other reports were routine updates.
Jon Cameron reported on the resolutions approved at last month’s meeting. Cameron reviewed bid activity for resolution approvals for the pre-sale of reports for $1,450,000 General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2017 A and pre-sale report for $1,055,000 Water System Revenue Bonds, Series 2017B.
