Cardinals earn first playoff win in 12 years

The two-seed Brodhead-Juda Cardinals put on an offensive clinic en route to a convincing 14-1 victory over six-seed Big Foot in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal matchup last Tuesday. The playoff win was the program’s first since 2005.

“Baseball in Brodhead hasn’t been heard of for so long, so to get a two-seed, a bye, and then get a home playoff win — it’s just awesome,” senior Blake Burns said.“I can’t think of a better way to end my home career than the way we played tonight.”
