CLINTON – Village President, Connie Tracy called the Special Meeting to order on Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m. Board Trustees present were: Ron Torkilson, Art Bushue, Jeanette Troha, Dennis Nielson, and Brian Jacobs. Dina Knibbs was absent. Treasurer/Clerk Pam Franseen was present and Administrator, Jennifer Sheiffer was absent.

Two Representatives on the agenda to address previously submitted quotes were present. Police Chief Dave Hooker was present to give a National Night Out update and answer question regarding the special event application. No other citizens were present so there were no Public Appearances.

Board Members had packets and bids received several months earlier for Public Space Needs Assessments from Strand Associates and Angus Young Associates. Both Representatives addressed key strengths.

Discussion without action followed each speaker’s presentation. President Connie Tracy asked each speaker if prices quoted were still good since there was a delayed response.

Both verified the information presented is still valid. Both Reps confirmed studies for one department will cost more than the all department facilities study

Interested citizens can view both Village Public Space Needs Assessment proposal packets at Clinton Public Library, 214 Mill St.

One Application for Operator’s License was reviewed and approved for Boxcars Pub & Grub followed by an event approval for National Night Out submitted by Chief Hooker.

The July Village Board meeting was rescheduled because they did not have a quorum. Next regular meeting are Monday, Aug. 10 and Tuesday, Aug. 18, 7 p.m.

The meeting adjourned without closed session.
