RAYMOND C. SCHEIDEGGER

Raymond C. Scheidegger, 87, of Juda passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023. Born June 3, 1936, at home in Stephenson County, Illinois, the son of Donovan and Lois (Meinert) Scheidegger. Raymond married Viola M. Arndt on January 20, 1957. Raymond was a concrete finisher for many years. He enjoyed gardening and hunting for ginseng and morel mushrooms. He also liked to watch Westerns. Raymond loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Randy (Linda) Scheidegger, Don (Lori) Scheidegger, Bill (Teri) Scheidegger, Jesse (Angela Steiner) Scheidegger, and Rob (Heather Oborne) Scheidegger; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Klemm, Sharon (Jim) Jeremiason, Kathryn Scheidegger and Mary (Bill) Bussey and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Viola.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Noon on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at DL Newcomer Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead.
