The Brodhead Cardinals captured their second consecutive Rock Valley Conference softball championship.

The Brodhead Cardinals captured their second consecutive Rock Valley Conference softball championship with a blowout victory over the Evansville Blue Devils, last week.

The conference championship run began all the way back at the start of the season, however. Thirteen league games later, the Cards held a perfect 13-0 record in RVC play. Overall, Brodhead held a record of 13-1 coming into the last week.

They had suffered their one and only loss in their most previously played game, however. A 3-1 loss to the Jefferson Eagles came in the second game of a doubleheader. That second game didn’t count towards RVC standings, though.
