BARBARA JEAN OLSON-MENEHAN
She was bon in Monroe, Wisconsin, on May 7, 1949 to Howard Eggen and Lois (Jubie) Olson. She graduated from Brodhead High School in 1967.
She married Darwin Menehan on February 17, 2004. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2012.
Barb started her work career at Freeman Shoe Factory in Beloit and then worked at Orfordville Crop Service before working at CB&K Plumbing Supply in Janesville until their closing. After that she worked for Colony Brands before becoming the secretary at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a life long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and going out to eat. She especially enjoyed being with her girls, Lilli and Ryan Jane.
She is survived by her sisters: Sandra (Bruce) Miller of Evansville and Debra Fitzgerald of Brodhead; a sister in law, Kathy Olson of Colorado; a niece, Lynsey (Corey) Stevens; nephews: Scott Miller, Cory (Elizabeth) Miller and Josh (Heather) Olson; great nieces: Lilli and Ryan Jane Stevens and Everly Olson; and her step children: Chuck (Sandy) Menehan, Laurie Lauren, Scott (Kathy) Menehan and Troy Menehan, and Belinda (Todd Gibson) Curless; step grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darwin; her brother, David Olson; and two nephews: David Olson and Ryan Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM noon at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 405 E. 9th Ave, Brodhead, with Pastor Callie Arendt officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to time of service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead.
