Gregory Lee Guptill

Gregory Lee Guptill, 60, of Brodhead, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was born on Apr. 4, 1956, in Monroe, the son of Vernon and Lillian (Faith) Guptill.

Greg graduated from Brodhead High School in 1975. He worked for Frito-Lay of Beloit, retiring after 37 years. He also worked for Woodman’s as a route salesman for 20 years.

Greg was a member of the Decatur Lake Golf Course for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and motorcycling.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy; a son, Christopher Guptill, Byron, Ill.; a sister, Doreen (Roger) Bauman, Juda; a brother, Steve (Nancy) Guptill, Monroe; three nieces, Tammy Bauman, Nicole Guptill-Bisbee, and Courtney Sedbrook; and six nephews, Roger (Jenny) Bauman, Jr., Joshua Guptill, Joey Veer, and Tyler, Bryce, and Blake Sedbrook. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service is planned for noon on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the D.L. Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead, with Rev. David Frey officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund will be established.
