Friends of Carver-Roehl Park Hosted Fall Festival Fundraiser

The picturesque park spans 53 acres and is Rock County’s second oldest park. It is known for its winding spring-fed creek, scenic trails and remarkable limestone outcroppings. Friends of Carver-Roehl Park is dedicated to the safety and preservation of the natural beauty of this park for the use of the community. Friends of the Park members, Ruth Inman, Shirley Jones, Stephanie DeLong and Nancy Pope were there with many other volunteers to lend a helping hand. The Community is fortunate that the park’s beauty is a stones’ throw away. Stephanie Delong greeted neighbors in the raffle tent. “It was fun to see people of all ages enjoying this park,” she said. “We planned to offer many activities like the petting zoo, face painting, baked goods sale, music, wagon rides, vendors and more. We tried to offer something for everyone.”

The Friends of Carver-Roehl Park Volunteers greeted the crowd estimated at more than 200 people. The Fall Festival Fundraiser coupled with membership fees have funded and continue to fund many past and planned projects. Donations are greatly appreciated! The next event will be the spring Easter Egg Hunt. Annual memberships are $15 each or you can sign on as a Lifetime Member for $150. Friends of Carver-Roehl Park also welcome volunteerism and donations by groups and individuals interested in lending a helping hand during scheduled work days.

The park is available all year long and a wonderful location for family, reunions, group gatherings, school outings, nature hikes and more. The Pavilion has electricity and is available to rent through Rock County Parks Department (608) 757-5450.
