Brodhead FFA members attend National Convention

Five members of the Brodhead FFA chapter recently attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.  Elizabeth McGuire, Skylar Stanley, Dakota Chamblee, Blaine Berget, and Cody Baxter attended general convention sessions, the Agriscience Fair, and the Convention Expo.  They also toured the Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, Ind., and the dairy, swine, and crop education centers at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, Ind.

“Our FFA members had the opportunity to learn about activities and programs other FFA chapters are doing and to learn about the accomplishments of the top FFA members in the nation,” noted Lauren Metcalf, agriculture teacher and FFA advisor.  “By attending the Convention Expo, they learned about careers in agriculture and post-secondary educational opportunities.”
