Huey helicopter dedicated as part of Green County Veterans Memorial Park Project

Members of the Green County Veterans Memorial Park Project (GCVMPP) committee held a helicopter dedication ceremony Sunday, Nov. 6. A Huey helicopter that saw combat has been restored and will soon be mounted and placed on permanent display at the park, located just outside of Monroe at the intersection of County Highway N and State Highway 81.
Larry Ayres provided opening remarks, followed by the presentation of the colors, led by Wisconsin Vietnam Veterans Chapter 3. Mike McGoff, American Legion Chaplain, led an invocation, and Beth and Jason Riesterer performed an instrumental rendition of the National Anthem.
