Optimist Club sponsoring Oratorical Contest

The Brodhead Optimist Club will be hosting an Oratorical Contest on Jan. 16.  The theme of this year’s speeches will be “What the World Gains from Optimism.”  The contest is open to students under the age of 18 as of Oct. 1 of the current Optimist Contest year.

Applications can be picked up at the Java House in downtown Brodhead or by contacting Dan Calhoon at 897-2176.  Completed applications are due back to him the week of Dec. 18.  All rules and important information are included on the registration form.
