Brodhead library faces reduced funding

The Brodhead Public Library is facing reduced funding from the city for the budget that begins in January.
Deb Fox, Brodhead Alderman At Large, discussed the matter at the library board last week, library director Angela Noel said in an interview following the meeting.
“Basically, the city budget is tight. Funds are tight going into next year,” Noel said. The projection is to receive about $25,000 less from the city. The county reimbursement is also dropping by about $5,000.
