In a digital age, what’s a newspaper for?

Common people, such as my family’s ancestry, leave little visible legacy.
Railroads, steel mills, factories, and farms took all that my kin deliberately left to anyone.
Work of their hands and hearts was willed hour upon hour, daily, seasonally, to the world.
Yet at the grave, nothing much was left to their children.
