The Scott Duhr Memorial Open Gives Back
The members of the Scott Duhr Memorial Open braved the cold with kids in tow, to Farm and Fleet to shop for Rock County Toys for Tots. This is the second year that funds raised from the June Golf Open were donated to Toys for Tots.
Carts were filled to the spilling point with toys for children of all ages and dropped off at the Salvation Army in Janesville. Just under $2,500 worth of toys were carefully chosen and donated. Along with the toy donations, a local family in need was chosen to receive $2,250 and a check was personally delivered by the members the week before Christmas.
Giving back during the holidays is how the members; Bradley Ehret, Adam James, Brandon James, Andy Rousch, and Tom Ryan have decided is the best way to remember their late brother and friend, Scott Duhr, who passed in 2005. Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman. More importantly, he was a beloved son, brother, and friend to many. He is sorely missed by those that were blessed to know him.
The Scott Duhr Memorial would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the participants and sponsors of the June Golf Open. It is an honor to be able to keep Scott’s memory alive and an equal pleasure to be able to donate to such great causes.
Thank you! We hope to see you all again this June!
