Continue to implement the five-year Strategic Plan
Building and grounds
The update of the elementary school kitchen began with a new oven, and new serving line counter and repairing the large cooler. By June 30, the west playground will have a new basketball court and swing, cement sidewalk, and a fenced-in area by 4K, new lighting on the outside of the building, storage units for the music classroom, and pavement repairs at the front entrance. With the help of Kid Connection, we hope to replace the sand with rubber mulch on the west playground, as well. We also hope to address the east drop-off zone by adding a paved area for parents who are just dropping off students; parking will not be allowed in this area. All cross-connection plumbing issues were addressed and have passed inspection.
Installation of the new boilers was completed at the middle school. A new oven was purchased. Lights in the hallways and library were replaced with high efficiency LED lighting. By June 30, HVAC units, new bleachers in the gym, and new carpet in the band and library will be installed. Work on the parking/school entrance will be completed. All cross-connection plumbing issues were addressed and have passed inspection.
