4-H Week highlights opportunities to learn, serve and have fun
October 3-9 is National 4-H Week and Green County is celebrating the opportunities that the 4-H youth development program offers young people to learn, grow and lead.
“4-H has allowed me to grow in confidence, leadership and communication skills all while building lifelong relationships with people from all walks of life,” Emily Makos, a recent Green County 4-H graduate, said in a news release. “4-H has also taught me the importance of proving acts of kindness and service to my community. I encourage youth to check out 4-H and all of the opportunities it has to offer. The ribbons and trophies won at the County Fair are such a small part of what 4-H is actually all about.”
