Public input vital part of library’s planning process
By Dan Moeller, CORRESPONDENT
As the Brodhead Memorial Public Library determines its strategic plan for the next five years, input from the public is the most vital part of the process, according to planners.
Last month the library board met with Victoria Solomon of the Green County UW Extension office as it began developing the plan. Solomon will be the plan facilitator at no cost to the library.
The plan provides a path for the library to follow, according to library director Angela Noel. That includes what kinds of services it might offer and the kind of changes it might make.
“It really relies on input from the public. We are here to serve the public. We want to make sure we are giving the public as much services as our budget will allow for. To do a good strategic plan we really need the public’s input.”
