Sending love and joy to Fort McCoy. Students complete successful supply drive for Afghan refugees

After a two-week supply drive to benefit the thousands of Afghan refugees temporarily housed at Fort McCoy, Brodhead Middle School students got word that donations they recently collected were distributed among those in need.
Wisconsin National Guardswoman Sage Harper, who graduated from Brodhead High School in 2018, was on duty at Fort McCoy near Sparta, where more than 10,000 refugees are awaiting settlement.
She reached out last month to the middle school teacher Stephanie Tresemer, who advises TOOL (Team of Outstanding Leaders) students, to see if she could count on her hometown to lend a hand.
