Jefferson/Brodhead– Christy Dianne Barnes, age 52, passed away on December 6, 2021 at the Fort AtkinsonHospital in Fort Atkinson, WI.
>
> Christy was born on February 18, 1969 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Richard and Kathryn (Schoepfer) Olin. She was a Brodhead High School graduate in 1987.
>
> Christy enjoyed taking trips and traveling, watching sports including the Packers, Brewers and Bucks, and her black lab, Benelli. Christy was always known as a loving, caring and unselfish person who always put family and friends ahead of herself and loved spending time with her family and friends.
>
> Christy is survived by her son, Chase Barnes (Natalie Rice); her soul mate, Todd Kraus; her father, Richard Olin; two sisters, Michelle (Glenn) Marquette and Dawn(Chad) Dix; 4 nieces and nephews, Malachi and Samantha Marquette and Abbie and Jordan Dix and many other cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

> Christy was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents and her mother, Kathryn Olin on September 19, 2010.
>
> In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in her memory.
>
> Funeral services will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead on Saturday,December 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 10, 2021from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery.
