DENNIS ANDERSEN

Dennis Paul Andersen, age 74, died on Feb. 25, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Manor in Footville.

He was born on April 5, 1947 in Belvidere, Iliinois to the late Dennis H.  and Benita (Swanson) Andersen.

He enjoyed farming and worked on the family farm in Belvidere until 1993, before moving to Brodhead. He was a former 4-H leader and a member of the Boone County Farm Bureau. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching old Elvis Presley and old country western movies.

He is survived by his four children, Tammy (John) Wakeley, Tanya (Randy) Shirel, Tim Andersen and Troy Andersen; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren;  a sister, Pam (Jerry) Wade and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by a sister, Diane Skodachek and a granddaughter, Brittany Wakeley in 1989.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated and can be mailed to the DL Newcomer Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Brodhead WI  53520 and made out to either St. Elizabeth Manor or Marquardt Hospice Care.

Graveside services will be held at the Highland Garden of Memories, 9800 IL Highway 76 in Belvidere, Illinois on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10 a.m.

A visitation will also take place at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 7-8 p.m.

The DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead is assisting the family with services.
