CLINTON – On the morning of Monday, May 11, the Clinton Middle School 6th Grade embarked on the annual Sixth Grade Camp experience to Camp Upham Woods.

I may be mistaken, but I believe this was the 56th year that the Clinton Middle School sixth grade attended camp. Students leave early Monday morning and arrive back in Clinton on Friday afternoon.

For many students, this is the first time they spend more than a night or two away from their parents.

While away at camp, students learn a little botany, natural history, atmospheric science, math, reading, astronomy, ornithology, entomology, herpetology, geology, and physics. To learn more about some of the features at Sixth Grade Camp, visit http://fyi.uwex.edu/uphamwoods/ online.
