Brodhead, WI – Alyce Lily (Meier) Gunderson, 96, of Brodhead, Wisconsin, passed away on February 26, 2024. She was born on June 29,1927, in Rock County, Wisconsin.

Alyce married Robert Gunderson on June 24, 1950, at Luther Valley Church. Family was very important to Alyce and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school activities, sporting events and musicals. Alyce and Bob enjoyed winters in Arizona and traveling, including a memorable trip to Switzerland. She embraced her Swiss heritage by conversing in Swiss for many years. She found joy in dancing, golf and playing cards with friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Lee (Jill) Gunderson, daughter-in-law Nancy Gunderson, grandchildren Tyler, Kelsey (Logan) Krebs, Eric (Jenny), Grant, Drew (Kaitlin), great grandchildren Landon, Sutton and Bridger, nieces and nephews. Alyce was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, son Neal, and siblings Fred, Clare, Gertrude and Rudy.

Alyce’s career journey included working at Beloit Iron Works during high school and later at Parker Pen in Janesville. She dedicated her time to volunteering at church and her son Lee’s healthcare facilities for many years.

Alyce was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and assisted in preparing church dinners.
