Arlene Fischer, 91, of Pecatonica, Illinois died at 5:09 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1931 in Dixon, Illinois to the late Fred and Dorothy (Kasper) Langholf.

She attended grade school in Dixon through third grade and then attended Seward Grade School when her family moved to Pecatonica.

She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1949.

She married David F. Fischer in 1950 in Seward Methodist Church.

They farmed in Pecatonica for three years before David was drafted into the military service.

When he returned home they moved to Brodhead, to farm again. They lived there for 50 years and retired in Pecatonica.

She is survived by husband David F. Fischer; two sons Timm (Mary) Fischer and Tedd Fischer and two grandsons Benjamin Fischer and Jordan (Samantha) Fischer. She is also survived by her sister Carol Coffman; brother Eugene Langholf; sister-in-law Jean Langholf and many nieces and nephews.

She was further preceded in death by in laws Melvin and Clara Fischer, brother Neil Langholf, sister Elise Fry, brothers-in-law R. Max Fry, William Coffman and Richard (Arlene) Fischer.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 12 at Indian Grove Church Rock City. A memorial visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Cremation rites to be accorded with final resting place in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery in Pecatonica.
