Autumnfest 2015 is this Saturday

BRODHEAD – There will be plenty of fun on tap when the Brodhead Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Autumnfest celebration this Saturday, Sept. 26 in Brodhead.

You can get your exercise with a 5k Fun Run/Walk at Pearl Island that starts at 8 a.m.

Pontoon boat rides on the Race will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A farmers/craft market is also scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pumpkin bowling and other fun children’s activities are also planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. An inflatable jumper and a petting zoo will be at the same time.

From 10 a.m. to noon children will be able to trick-or-treat at participating businesses. A costume parade for children starting at the gazebo in the downtown square will be held at noon.

The aroma of good food, grilled and otherwise, will fill the downtown from the food stands that are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The public will be able to vote on their favorite chili during the chili contest being held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The chili contest winners will be announced at 2:45 p.m.

Of course, beer goes good with chili and the beer tent will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Also from11 a.m. to 3 p.m., hayrides around Brodhead will be available and the State Line Playboys will perform as well.
