Betty June Earleywine, age 90, of Brodhead, died while at her home on May 6, 2022.

She was born on June 4, 1931 in Edgerton, to the late Ernest and Clara (Wachlin) Attlesey.

She graduated from Edgerton High School in 1949 and met her husband Gerald while attending UW-Madison.

They were married on Feb.  17, 1951 in Edgerton and they lived in the Brodhead area where she and Gerald were dairy farmers until their retirement.

She was an EverReady Homemakers club member, a dedicated founding member of the Brodhead Historical Society and also served as a curator, a 10-year member of the Clogging Grandmas and a member of the United Methodist Church in Brodhead since 1951.

She enjoyed gardening, baking and playing cards, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending all of her grandchildren’s events over the years.

She is survived by her four sons, Jim (Linda), Steve (Kathy), Gary (Mindy), and Tom (Dee); nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one twin sister, Bev Johnston and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 2016 and three siblings, Norm, Bob and Doris (infant).

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

Memorial services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Brodhead, 501  1st Center Avenue in Brodhead on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11 a.m.  A visitation will also be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

The DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead is assisting the family.
