Betty Woodruff, 75

BRODHEAD – Betty Jo Woodruff, age 75 of Brodhead, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

She was born on May 21, 1939, in Irene, Ill.; the daughter of Ted and Ila (Grenawalt) Jacobson. She graduated from Brodhead High School in 1957. Betty married James E. Woodruff on April 9, 1965, in Brodhead. She was employed at Apco in Brodhead for many years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed fishing, collecting owls, and taking trips to the casino.
Betty is survived by her son: Richard (Tammy) Woodruff of Browntown; partner, Bill Coffell of Macclenny, Fla., and several step-children. She is further survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Dorothy Fowler, and brothers, Bob and Don Jacobson.
Private family services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brodhead, with Reverend Peder Johanson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, Brodhead. Everson Funeral Home is assisting the family
