Board squashes rumor of Agriculture department’s elimination

Several community members attended last week’s school board meeting, concerned over rumors that the school’s agriculture department would be eliminated. According to the school board, that’s simply not true.

Brodhead’s Patrick Zweifel was the first to voice his concerns. He explained that he’d heard the reason for the department’s elimination was that the district had been unable to find a teacher to fill a vacant position within the department. He also explained his desire for the department to become a full-time program.
