     The Brodhead-Juda Cardinals and head coach Jim Matthys have had plenty to celebrate on the football field in 2021. After completing a perfect 6-0 alternative spring season, the Cards have carried those fortunes into the fall as they have now won 15 consecutive games.

Perhaps no victory was more important than their week eight win, as the Cards claimed the title of conference champs in their first year as members of the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.

That conference clinching victory came on Oct. 8 when Brodhead-Juda traveled to face off with Wautoma.  Despite being on unfamiliar turf, the Cards were playing like their usual selves as they dominated every step of the way.
