Brodhead man toys with phone scammer, but worries about vulnerable neighbors

The jig was up as soon as Brodhead resident David Davenport looked at his ringing phone around 11 a.m. last Wednesday. The call, according to the caller ID, originated in Jamaica.

“As soon as I saw it was coming from Jamaica, I knew it was (a scam),” Davenport said.
