The Brodhead varsity boys’ basketball squad and head coach Tommy Meier had nearly a week off after beating McFarland 76-66 on Jan. 21.

While time off can be a good thing late in the season, the Cards had to prepare for another tough, upcoming matchup.

On Thursday, Jan. 27, Brodhead made the trip to Beloit to face off with the Beloit Turner Trojans.

With a record of just 6-5 prior to the game, the Trojans proved their record isn’t a reflection of their playing caliber.
