Cardinal win comes down to final minutes

The Cardinals (3-7 overall, 2-4 Rock Valley) got off to a scorching start and held off the Beloit Turner Trojans en route to a48-45 Rock Valley south victory last Tuesday.

The Cardinals raced out to an 8-3 lead three minutes into the contest. Senior Morgan Cook set the tone with a putback on a third scoring opportunity on the opening possession.  Then she had a conventional three-point play on an inside conversion off an offensive rebound by sophomore Zoe Tresemer. Zoe Tresemer was a beast on the glassas she snatched a team-high eight rebounds.
