Cardinals beat McFarland 5-4

The Cardinals (1-1 overall, 1-0 Rock Valley) pulled off a dramatic 5-4 win over McFarland in their Rock Valley home opener last Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals capitalized on five Spartan errors.

“It’s huge. You always want to get off on the right foot, and having a close, hard-fought ball game like this is extremely important,” coach Aaron Guilbault said. “It’s good to see the kids respond like they did when they got down a little bit. It’s a boost of morale when they can pull out a win like this.”
