Blake Burns works the take down for the pin

It was a milestone night for senior Blake Burns last Thursday, when the Cardinals cruised to a 57-21 Rock Valley south dual meet win over Clinton.

Burns opened the meet with a dominant performance in the 138-pound weight class. He earned a pin against Clinton’s Clay Ward 39 seconds into the match. This wasn’t just any pin for Burns; the memorable pin marked his 100th career win. His season record improved to 13-10.
