Cardinals find redemption in win over Parkview

PARKVIEW — The Cardinals picked up a 6-0 Rock Valley south victory over rival Parkview behind a complete game gem from Tyler Hoesly last Thursday.
Brodhead-Juda went up 4-0 with three runs in the top of the second. Hoesly led off the inning with a base hit and swiped second base.
After a strikeout, Alex Nipple came through with an RBI single. PrestanLeitzen then drew a walk to put runners on first and second with one out. Blake Burns moved both runners into scoring position with a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt. Skyler Stuckey then delivered a clutch two-out two-run RBI base hit to put the Cardinals up 4-0.
Brodhead-Juda added two insurance runs in the top of the fifth inning. Matt Schmitt led off the inning with a base hit. Pick up this week’s print edition for full story……..
