Cardinals’ tough loss is a step in the right direction

BRODHEAD — The Cardinals’ softball team dug themselves a hole early, but fought back late to make things interesting before falling 12-6 to Big Foot in a Rock Valley South clash last Thursday.
Big Foot took a 1-0 lead two batters into the game. Chiefs’ leadoff hitter Morgan Stalker connected on a double down the right field line. Yesenia Gonzalez ripped an RBI base hit to left field to give the Chiefs the early lead.  Pick up this week’s print edition for full story……
