Cards, Matthys stay focused on improving de-spite 2-0 start

Brodhead-Juda football is off and running in their 2022 campaign as they’ve extended their regular season win streak to 18 games after starting the year 2-0.

The Cards kicked off their 2022 season with a home matchup against the Edgerton Tide on Friday, Aug. 19.  Although it was not a conference matchup, the programs are extremely familiar with each other as former Rock Valley Conference opponents.

It took very little time for the Cards to get on the scoreboard as Gunner Boegli snagged an interception on the first play from scrimmage.  The early turnover setup Leon Saunders for an 11-yard touchdown run, giving the Cards their first score of the season.
