Brodhead, WI/ Loveland, CO – With sad regret, we announce the passing of Christine Marie Elmer, 39, of Loveland, CO. Christine was born in Oklahoma City on April 21, 1984.

Christine spent her early childhood in Half Moon Bay, California before her family relocated to Monticello, Wisconsin, where she spent the majority of her grade school years. Though she attended high school in Cape Coral, Florida, she completed her final semester in Brodhead, becoming a 2002 graduate of Brodhead High School in Brodhead, Wisconsin. A natural beauty with a vibrant, adventurous attitude, Christine created a life that she was proud of and thoroughly enjoyed. As a young adult she lived in various locations including Girdwood Alaska, where she discovered her love of travel and adventure. She earned her associate degree in environmental engineering at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, paying her own tuition and working full time as she attended classes. The yearning to be a homeowner and further establish her life and career brought her back to Janesville, WI, where she bought a small house with a big, fenced yard for her dog. She later realized she missed the mountains and their promise of adventure, so she sold her house and purchased her own Rocky Mountain getaway. Throughout Christine’s exceptional life, her travels, either solo or with family, took her to Thailand, Costa Rica, Italy, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, England, Barcelona, Mexico, South America, Peru, Belize, Greece, Columbia and Africa. Christine was employed by the City of Loveland Power Department as an Electrical Designer and thrived in her position. She thoroughly loved her job and her work family, many who went above and beyond to offer their assistance in her time of need. Upon learning she had little time left, she immediately chose to spend it with family. She and her dog, Max, came back to Wisconsin where they were enveloped in the love and comfort of a large and boisterous family. The many precious moments, raucous laughs, jeep rides and dirt bike lessons provided by Christine will forever be cherished.
