Clarifications regarding the Jan. 3 compliance checks story

On Jan. 3, the paid section of the Brodhead Independent-Register featured a story on page 1 covering a Facebook post that went locally viral, so to speak.

The post was in regards to an alcohol compliance check made at Bridges Bar on Dec. 30, 2017. The post sparked a flurry of comments regarding the conduct of police officers performing alcohol compliance checks. The story also mentioned a post written by Brodhead Chief of Police Chris Hughes in response to the post.
