Controversy and citizen concern over huge livestock operations echoed in Green County’s historic courthouse last week.

Emails and calls from the public moved county supervisors to seek answers to questions about procedures and protections, permits, and the law.

“We have a responsibility to protect the health and safety of our residents,” said Betty Grotophorst, District 29 Supervisor for Brooklyn and Exeter Townships. “What are we doing to ensure that?”
