Brodhead, WI – Daniel Lee Scheider, age 60, passed away unexpectedly while at his home on December 10, 2023.

Dan was born on November 13, 1963 in Freeport, IL the son of Wayne and Judith (Kuhl) Scheider.

Dan retired from Monroe Truck Equipment in January of 2022 after 40 years of service. Dan enjoyed rebuilding his 1974 Oliver Tractor, hunting, farming, yardwork, spending time with his family and friends and always helping his friends in need with his tools.

Dan is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Pascavis; a granddaughter, Kaylee Bennett; his siblings, Tammy (Paul) Sweeney and Mike Scheider; several nieces and nephews, Jenna (Brandon) Sweeney, Kristie Douglas-Sweeney, Samantha Scheider, Christopher Scheider and Kody Scheider; 4 great nieces and nephews, Bristol, Braydan, Autumn and Colton; an aunt, Carol (Lester) Tornow and many other cousins, friends and other relatives.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne in 2023 and Judith in 2014, both maternal and paternal grandparents; a sister, Mary Tracy in 2018 and a cousin, Roger Tornow in 1992.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in his memory.

Funeral services will take place at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will also take place at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of services. Burial will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead.
