The DeLong Co., Inc. is pleased to announce that it has purchased the former Gavilon Grain Elevator in Avalon, Wis. effective immediately. The elevator is operating under the DeLong Grain Division and will serve local grain farmers. “Over the last four years, Gavilon Grain has built and operated one of the finest grain handling elevators in Wisconsin and we are pleased to add this facility to our current group of elevators,” said Bo DeLong, Vice President of The DeLong Co., Inc. “The addition of Avalon will allow us to merchandise grain into markets that we have been unable to do in the past. It will also give us additional drying and storage capacity.” Doug Kloepping will be relocating his office to Avalon and will be the new Facility Manager and Merchandiser. Kloepping will be supported by some of the former Gavilon employees who are transitioning to The DeLong Co., Inc., in addition to DeLong’s Clinton staff. If you have any questions regarding delivery options, bids or marketing, please contact Doug Kloepping at (608) 676-2255 ext. 1282 or any of the DeLong Clinton Staff.
