Delores (Dee) Jean Hagedorn, 81, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at her home in Brodhead on Nov. 27, 2022, after a brief illness.

She was born on Dec. 25, 1940, in Galena, Ill., the daughter of John and Dorothy Morton.

She married Gerald Brown on Dec. 2, 1961.  She later married Ramon Hagedorn on June 29, 1991.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brodhead Health Club, and the Red Hat Club in Brodhead.

She worked for more than 20 years at Advance Transformer in Monroe before her retirement.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.

She also loved to attend shows and musicals.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agrace Hospice Care for the care they provided to their mother.

She is survived by her four children, Mary Grinnell, Robert (Montie) Brown, Monica (Thomas) Crook, and Suzy Shaw (Gary Wang); two step children, Myra (Todd) Christianson and Michelle Hansen; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Theresa Traw; and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, William Thomas Brown in 1969; two brothers, John and James Morton; and her husband, Ramon Hagedorn on Sept. 16, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Agrace Hospice Care in her memory.

Memorial services will be held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 405 E. 9th Ave. in Brodhead at noon on Thursday, Dec. 8.

A visitation will also be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Burial will conclude at Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead.
