Footville, WI – Dennis Orville Lee – U.S Marine Veteran
Dennis, age 82,  was born on April 8th 1942 in Brodhead, WI the son of Orville and Gladys (Huetzel).
Dennis passed away peacefully at home on June 8th, 2024. Dennis was born and raised in Brodhead Wisconsin. He graduated from Brodhead High School – Class of 1960. On March 1st, 1961 Dennis completed combat military training at Camp Pendleton -California as an U.S Marine. Dennis was stationed in Japan. After completing his tour, he returned to Wisconsin. Dennis met Shirley Mae Parmer in 1975 and immediately fell in Love. They were married on February 21, 1976.
They started a family, raising two wonderful children; Dennise Michelle and Douglas Arthur.
Dennis was a family man and loved to spoil the people he loved the most! He enjoyed yearly vacations at popular destinations. This is where you would find the “Lee Family” most summers! Dennis retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 31 years of service in 1997. Retirement was great! He definitely enjoyed camping with friends, especially the Rocky Roller Camping group. “Kicking back” and “hanging out” around the campfire was such a peaceful spot for Dennis and Shirley. Golf was his favorite hobby. Shirley would testify – the golf course was his 2nd home! He enjoyed a good tee time with friends and always looked forward to a nice, cool- summer day to get a good swing in! Dennis was kind. He served on many committees at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran church in Janesville, Wisconsin. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He sang in the choir and loved old gospel songs. His love for Jesus remained strong throughout the years . . . . I’m pretty sure that’s who he was reaching for in his final hours.
Dennis loved his grandchildren. He was so proud of all of their accomplishments, big or small. The smile on his face said it all! You could easily find him at sports events, concerts, school functions, and parties celebrating with them! No matter what Life threw at Dennis, he always seemed to take it – day by day.
Many people have described Dennis “as a cat with 9 lives!” His pain is gone and Dennis is resting in the arms of Jesus, our Savior.
Dennis is survived by his wife Shirley Lee; a brother,  Davey (Jerry) Lee; his daughter, Dennise (Patrick) McGoff; a daughter in law, Cristin Lee;  his  grandchildren, Michaela Hackett (fiance Rowan Hackey) Kennedy Lee, Easton Hackett, Kaden Lee, Ledgor and Leah McGoff.
