EDWARD WILLIAM CROOKS

Edward was born on September 22, 1947 in Monroe, WI the son of Samuel Henry and Alice (Zweifel) Crooks.  Edward married Evelyn Laraine Bandi on October 5, 1968 in Monticello, WI.

Edward farmed in the Decatur area since 1969.  They milked and raised hogs, steers and sheep.  Edward enjoyed his coffee at the Juda truck stop and attending auctions.  Edward was on various ag organizations in Green County, those include the Beef and Pork Producers and the Green County Fair Meat Animal Auction.  But most of all, Edward enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.

Edward is survived by his wife, Evelyn of 54 years; two children, Shelby (Robbie) Wilson and Arin (Lynn) Crooks; 4 grandchildren, Mitchell (Taylor) Wilson, Mason Crooks, Avery Crooks and Cassidy Crooks; one brother, George Crooks and many other family members and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Alice in February of 1972 and Samuel in March of 1995.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in Edward’s memory.

Funeral services will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.  Cremation rites will be accorded afterwards.
