Fifth-grade boys take fifth place at WSICT

The Brodhead fifth-grade boys’ basketball team competed in Appleton at the 2017 Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament.

The Cardinals went 5-1 for the weekend, losing only to Valders (50-40), who ended up taking second place.  Brodhead defeated Kewaunee 33-31, Altoona 57-38, Oostburg 47-14, Wrightstown 41-20 and Kewaunee a second time 46-37.

Overall, there were 85 fifth-grade teams in the tournament, and the Cardinals finished in fifth place in Division
