Fire Commission meets ahead of joint meeting with city

The Fire District discussed bookkeeping, budget outlook and paging methods at its monthly meeting last Tuesday at the Fire Department.

The joint meeting between the city and the Fire District commissioners, in the works since late December, was discussed briefly. Commissioners Al Schneider and Anderson, Brodhead Fire District Administrative Assistant Heather Oborne, and City Clerk Teresa Withee met with an accountant from Baker Tilly. Accountants from the Madison, Wis., firm were in Brodhead to conduct a regularly-scheduled audit of the city’s finances Feb. 1 and 2.
