From city hall-Spending has been cut by about 7.4%, referendum aims to preserve services
Last week, the City of Brodhead provided general information on the upcoming referendum question that will appear on the Feb. 15 ballot.
This week, the city is providing more information on how services might be affected if the referendum does not pass.
Most department funding requests have been cut in the past two years.
The 2022 Budget process saw initial budget requests for all departments being cut, with an average reduction of 7.4%. Public works, the library, and city hall budgets also saw reductions in funding for 2021.
